Financial Empowerment Collaborative (FEC)



My Role: Brand Designer - Created FEC brand and logo, designed the brand book

The Ask: Create a brand for the FEC

Entrusted with the responsibility of crafting a brand identity for the FEC (a collaborative venture between the Urban League of Portland and five Portland-area credit unions), I embarked on a mission to encapsulate the essence of the organization in a manner that exuded empowerment, visual appeal, and contemporary relevance.


Developing a Brand

Results of a Hopes and Fears workshop led to preliminary sketches (Right). We chose 3 logos (Below) to expand on. 



Final Logo Variations

The brand keywords identified were: Unity, collaboration, modernity, multigenerational, and inclusive.

The design concept symbolizes multigenerational layers unified within a cohesive framework.

The color palette selected by the FEC comprises rich and vibrant tones, mirroring the distinctive diversity of the FEC and its clientele.
