Designing Hype
When I was at the Artist Collective, all of my design strategy was led by what was trending in streetwear. I worked independently under my Creative Director to develop at least 100 designs in the course of 6 months to present to buyers and clients. I also helped design website banners (below) to promote current apparel drops.
An Amalgamation
I had the pleasure of branding the Spring/Summer 2020 brand catalog that would be used to pitch to retailers and potential clients. It featured designs created by me, our illustrator, creative director, and junior designer. I mocked up all designs onto clothing, created the design of every spread, and finally presented to our creative director for production. Rupaul’s Drag Race Live!
In addition to designing for our in-house apparel, we also worked with Caesar’s Las Vegas to design apparel and accessories for Rupaul’s Drag Race Live! At the time, 80’s/90’s glowy, brighht, over-the-top t-shirt designs were very popular in streetwear. With the assets provided by Rupaul’s team, I created a t-shirt design that reflects that aesthetic and features an image of Rupaul with a line of his from the TV show as well.
